NCDA Accessible Online Learning System (AOLS)
What is NCDA AOLS?
Conceived from the thrust of the National Government for digital transformation through digitalized processes, the NCDA AOLS serves as the official platform of the National Council on Disability Affairs as part of its mandate to continuously promote inclusive learning. These online courses may be of great help to those who seek to learn more about disability rights or working with people with disabilities.
Is the NCDA AOLS secured?
Yes. NCDA AOLS uses MOODLE LMS. Unlike proprietary software, where the code is hidden and can only be reviewed by a few people, Moodle's open-source ethos ensures that its source code is constantly monitored by large numbers of people from the community.
What are the types of courses you offer?
As of date, our courses are subdivided into four categories namely Disability-Related Awareness Courses, Disability Support Services Courses, PDAO-Related Courses, and Gender and Development Courses. Are the courses free?
Yes. Courses offered here are free for everyone.
What is the mode of teaching?
As of date, our courses can only be accessed online and in self-paced mode. You progress through the courses at your own speed and schedule.
How long will it take me to finish self-paced courses?
Our self-paced courses can be accomplished within your terms and convenience provided that you finish them. On average, you can finish any course within one to two hours.
Are all your courses accorded with a Certificate of Completion (COC)?
Yes. A government-issued and verified Certificate of Completion is awarded to every successful learner.
Are all your courses available throughout the year?
Yes.
Will I get notifications or updates for the courses?
Yes. You will receive an email notice that the course you enrolled in has been updated or upgraded. Also, you may visit our AOLS occasionally to check for the available courses or our announcements on the NCDA Official Facebook Page.
Accessibility
Can the AOLS be accessed on any device?
Yes. The AOLS can be accessed using desktops, laptops, tablets, and mobile devices supporting web browsers, wireless internet connections, or cellular data. You may also download the MOODLE MOBILE APP to access the courses on your mobile devices on either Android or Apple IOS.
Can I access the AOLS even without the internet?
Currently, it can only be accessed using the internet.
Is the AOLS accessible to Persons With Disabilities?
Yes. These courses are developed so that people with disabilities can have unhampered access to them. You may visit our Accessibility Statement to learn more about the accessibility features of the online course.
Registration and Account Creation
How do I create my account?
Creating your account is very simple. Simply click on the Login button located on the upper right side of the screen. A Login window appears. For first-time learners, click on the Create New Account button to sign up. Then answer all the required boxes shown in the "red !" icon.
Read, understand, and agree to the NCDA Data Privacy Statement. Click on the Create a New Account button. A pop-up notification will appear on your screen instructing you to check your delegated email account to validate email account ownership. Once successfully validated, you will be redirected to the landing page of the LMS where you will be asked to key in your password. Supply your password credentials to complete logging in.
Can I update my profile information from time to time?
Yes. Go to your profile page and click the Edit Profile link.
Is the account that I registered available anytime?
Yes.
Is it possible for my account to become dormant and inaccessible?
Your account can become dormant if it is inactive for three years.
How many times am I allowed to make consecutive failed log-in attempts?
You are only allowed to make five (5) consecutive failed log-in attempts.
If the maximum number of consecutive failed log-in attempts exceeds five, will my account become blocked?
No. Wait for five minutes before attempting to log in again.
If I can no longer retrieve my password, can I create a new one by hitting “Forgot Password”?
Yes.
I cannot register, what should I do?

I did not receive the email to verify registration. What should I do?
Be sure to check both the inbox and spam folders for email verification. If these measures did not help, please contact the AOLS Administrator at jojomccid@gmail.com to properly address your concern.
Will I be logged out automatically if I leave my account hanging?
The AOLS will automatically log out users if the account that was signed-in remains continuously inactive for 30 minutes.
Course Enrollment
How can I enroll in available courses?
On your dashboard, browse for courses and select the course you want to enroll in.
What courses are available?

How will I know the appropriate course for me to enroll?
In your Dashboard, click on the Categories listed. Then select the course you want to enroll.
Can I assign/transfer the course I enrolled in should I not be able to attend due to some valid reasons?
No.
Course Completion and Issuance of Certificate
How can I get my certificate of completion?
Your Certificate of Completion (COC) will be automatically sent to your registered and validated email account upon passing the required Course Assessment Examination. The link to your certificate can also be accessed through your Dashboard.
What is the "Course Disclaimer" about?
The AOLS is based on a foundation of honesty and trust between certified users and the parties evaluating their abilities. Whether you’re seeking a certification for your confidence, or to demonstrate your knowledge to customers or employers, any form of misconduct diminishes your certification’s value and violates our policies. These are:
- You will answer the exam questions according to your knowledge and without assistance.
- You will NOT copy, reproduce, or share the content of the exam with others.
- You have reviewed the NCDA Certification Program Privacy Notice.
- You understand that breaking this agreement may result in the invalidation of your Certificate of Course Completion.
I completed the course but was not able to get my certificate, what should I do?
Email the site administrator/developer at jojomccid@gmail.com to properly address your concern.
If I used my certificate of completion for the job application or other purposes, can it be validated?
Yes. Just use the link to the QR Code generated by the AOLS. It will go directly to the Certification Page.
Can I include the course I finished through the AOLS in my Personal Data Sheet (PDS)/Resume?
Yes.
Are the courses I completed can be converted into Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Units?
All courses enrolled and completed by the learner through the NCDA AOLS have a corresponding number of leadership and management training hours. In the absence of a written law or policy which specifically prescribes however, these number of hours of training credits has no equivalence and cannot be converted into nor should be treated as CPD Units.
Can I get a certified true copy of my certificate of completion?
No. We only issue the Certificate of Completion in PDF format.
I did not finish my self-paced eLearning Course in one sitting. Can I continue it on some other days?
Yes.
I lost a copy of my certificate of completion. Can I get a new one?
Yes. Your Certificate of Completion is stored in the AOLS database.
My name is incorrect on the certificate generated. How can I change it?
Sorry. The name on the certificate is QR code generated and cannot be altered. However, you can correct the errors in your name by going to your dashboard and editing your profile. The subsequent courses that you completed will generate the corrected name.
